The Nigerian Government has imposed travel ban on 100 air travelers over alleged violation of the country’s COVID-19 protocols.
Therefore the Federal Government has published the passport numbers of 100 travelers, who failed to undergo the mandatory COVID19 test after their return to Nigeria.
The travel ban would last for 6 months (January 1-June 30), the Presidency Office of Digital Engagement (PODE) announced in a tweet on Saturday.
“Based on Presidential authority, travel restrictions are being placed on the following passports due to non-compliance to the mandatory Day 7 post-arrival COVID-19 PCR test,” read a flyer containing the banned passports.
It added that, “Defaulting passengers have been notified and will be prevented from travelling out of the country during this period.”
