Italy international Emerson Palmieri who currently plays for Premier League side Chelsea has reportedly emerged as January 2021 transfer target for for Serie A giants Napoli.
The 26-year-old defender has been finding it difficult this season to get regular playing time under Chelsea boss Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge. Emerson has been playing for Chelsea since 2018 after being signed by former Chelsea coach Sarri and has gotten 30 games so far with the Blue.
According to the report on UK Sun, Napoli chiefs are now ready to offer Chelsea mega deal for them to have Emerson from the first month of the New Year.
The report added that Napoli have also promised the Italian player that he will get active games in at Napples if he should agree to move to Italy.
He has made just two appearances for the Blues in the Premier League this season and Emerson remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until the end of next season. Meanwhile, Chelsea have dropped from the top four on the Premier League table and the Blues are now occupying sixth position with 26 points after 16 games played so far.
