An explosion of a cluster bomb, left behind by the Syrian government, killed two children a brother and sister named as Muhammad and Lamiaa Mahmoud al Sha’ban from Souran city in the northern suburbs of Hama governorate, died on June 30 due to wounds sustained on June 29, when munitions left behind from previous bombing of unknown origin exploded while they were playing near the Omar al Hardan Mosque in Souran City.
It has been reported that Explosions of landmines and remnants of war, left behind by battles of the Islamic State and the Syrian government forces, killed and injured dozens of civilians, including children, in Central and Northern Syria. Several humanitarian organizations and the Civil Defense launched campaign to raise people’s awareness about the remnants and how to deal with them.
