Dan Foster, a popular American radio personality, and host of The Morning Show on Classic FM, Lagos, is dead.
The former Cool FM radio host’s death was announced yesterday, June 17. There are speculations he died from the Coronavirus pandemic
His colleague confirmed the news of his death to PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday.
Colleagues and friends reacted to the tragic news by paying tribute to him via their social media accounts
Foster was said to have been ill.
He worked with, radio stations including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 both in America, and Virgin Island-based WTBN then moved to Nigeria in 2000 where he joined Cool FM, quickly becoming popular with Nigerian listeners.
In September 2009, Foster left Cool FM for Inspiration FM but left in 2014 to join City FM.
In May 2016, he left City FM 105.1 for Classic FM 97.3 radio station where he worked before he passed on.
Nigerians have taken to Twitter to mourn American radio personality, Dan Foster.
Saying,
“He saved me my job.. Such a story!.. he kept me regardless.. look at me now.. “The Big Dog” Dan Foster put it all in for me and us at Cool fm. What an OAP…. The best morning show host till date in Nigeria. This is a big loss.”
