Gang-Raped Teenager At Gunpoint in Ogun State

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested three suspected Internet fraudsters, notoriously known as Yahoo boys for allegedly gang-raping 18-year-old lady.

Named suspects — Tunde Taiwo 22; Damilola Adesina 20; and Adegoke Amos, 21 were arrested by the state’s police for allegedly gang-raping the victim in the Ijebu Ode area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who disclosed these in a statement said the suspects were arrested after the victim, reported the case at the Ilese Divisional Police Headquarters, Ijebu-Ode.

She said Yahoo boys in Lexus ES 350 accosted her while she was going somewhere around the Ita Ale area of Ilese ijebu, dragged her into the car and drove to the Rationwa area, where they took turns to rape her at gunpoint.

Oyeyemi said based on the report, the DPO of Ilese division, Mr Yakubu Bala, mobilised detectives and stormed their hideout.

He said, “one of the culprits was arrested and he led the police to the other two, and they were subsequently arrested.

“On interrogation, they confessed to committing the crime and claimed to have believed that the police were no longer working, hence they could do anything they liked, but they were surprised when the police came after them.”

The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Mr Edward Ajogun, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
